Northampton Saints brought a team of 8 to nationals with 5 junior players. As a team Puma’s decided we’d use our game against saints to help build the juniors confidence and help them on their journey in this sport.
We kept it competitive, but we also supported the growth and development of the next generation of players, and the reaction from the juniors and parents really showed just how much it meant to them to be there 🥹🥰

Today our very own Oliver Wightman will take to the court in his first ever Wheelchair Rugby World Championships! But like many athletes he’s not showed up alone… his family have flown out to witness this moment in his journey and they’ve taken our team with them in spirit!

As many of you know, earlier this year our team completed a 10K fundraiser to raise money for this competition season. Now the season has ended it’s time for an update. Our season started April 19th and after 3 weekends across the last 3 months competing against some of the best teams in the country, yesterday we left as Premiership League Champions 🤩🎉
There aren’t enough words to describe the pride every single one of us feel being part of this team. Looking back at where we were at nationals in October 2025 to where we are now shows huge growth. The work the players put in on and off the court showed, we supported each other through the highs and lows and would have regardless of the result.
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported our journey! Everyone who shared our fundraiser, donated, interacted with our page it all makes a huge difference and we couldn’t be more grateful! 🥰
We’ll be posting some highlights throughout the week including best in class awards, volunteer appreciations and some game shots too! So keep an eye out! The road to nationals… begins now 🤩
What a fantastic weekend for our Junior Academy players 💥
We were absolutely thrilled to see so many of our Junior Academy players representing their clubs across the Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby WR5s Championship and Premiership today. Seeing our young athletes competing at such a high level is a real testament to their hard work, commitment and passion for the sport. 💙
The action started even earlier too, with more of our Academy players taking to the court in League One and League Two fixtures yesterday, making it another brilliant weekend for our regional academy programme.
To all of our players, coaches, families and supporters – thank you for being part of the journey. We’re excited to watch these talented athletes continue to grow and succeed! 👏

Season End Update ♿️🎉🔥
